Devotional art is the beating heart of the southern Rocky Mountains. For centuries, devotional art has adorned the walls of every home and house of worship in New Mexico. No matter rich or poor, devotional art acts as a personal connection with the divine. It is functional art that carries the dreams, blessings, fears, and sorrows of the people that live on this land. Omnihum is continuing to honor the tradition of devotional art in New Mexico with our next show, DEVOTION.

About The Call

We are inviting artists to apply for our show with devotional artwork- that is, work that has religious iconography and captures the human relationship to the divine. We are accepting imagery from any religious practice. We are accepting any medium.

60-70% of the artists we select will be practicing in the New Mexican and Southern Colorado region. The rest will come from other places. The artist receives 55% of the sale, Omnihum takes 45%, so factor that in when you calculate the price.

The artist statement you submit will be published in the show so please be sure to check it over. If you want to use it to talk about the piece(s) specifically as well, you are welcome to do that.

Have your paintings ready to hang.

Application Deadline: April 8th

Artist Notification: April 12th

Artwork Due by Omnihum by Mail: April 25th-26th

Artwork Due to Omnihum In Person: April 29th 11am-5pm

Opening: May 3rd

Closing: June 16
